Kings Place goes live
Firechaser launches the new website for Kings Place, a new mixed use venue in Kings Cross opening in October 2008. The project consisted of integration with Tessitura as well as a design which had to reflect the importance of the architecture in this new and impressive venue in the heart of London.
The slant motif from the logo was used to give a distinctive touch to the site and to reinforce the organisation's branding. Built to be highly usable while incorporating a number of organisations using the venue for a range of activities from classical music to visual art to dining, one of the main challenges of the design was to incorprate the multitude of music concerts making up the 5 day Opening Festival in a clear and unfussy way while simultaneously covering the breath of the offering in the new building.
