Firechaser

Firechaser manages its wholly owned network in the Global Switch datacentre, in London's Docklands, the hub of European data connectivity. In addition to the standard temperature controlled environment and fire and security provisions, Global Switch also limits power output from each rack, ensuring that 'hotspots' cannot occur, exposing our servers to heat risks.

With our own multi-homed network (AS40980), Local Internet Registry membership of RIPE (organisation dealing with all European IP addresses) with and on-site engineers available on 24/7/365 to attend to any hardware or networking issues, you can be assured that Firechaser is a true ISP and not a part-time provider at the end of a chain of reselling.

As owners of our network infrastructure we are not reliant on any one upstream provider (communications companies such as BT and Tiscali who provide internet connectivity to ISPs). We can expand bandwidth capacity and even change suppliers with no effect upon your connectivity ensuring that you benefit from the fastest and most reliable connectivity available.

Our network is supported by Cisco hardware (switches, routers and firewalls)and is protected by gateway Anti-Virus servers that continually monitor all incoming and outgoing traffic for suspect content.

The Firechaser network is monitored every 120 seconds from 16 different worldwide locations and our our on-engineers are alerted immediately if a problem is detected.
